Whether he’s wandering the streets of Los Angeles, San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, seeking the raw beauty of the west coast, Ugo isn’t just capturing the Americana or California dream. He’s looking for the poetry of the West Coast, finding a dreamality through street scenes compositions.
His work employs a straightforward aesthetic, using clean lines, flat colors, raw elements, minimalistic compositions to create a strong visual cinematic impact and unique narrative. Ugo Castellucci explores the textures of the cities, capturing the urban life, the streets, the people, the architecture, composing his palette like a painter.
AUTOPIA . serie 01
AUTOPIA serie explores the repetition, using cars corners as a subject, bringing nostalgia to a retro-futuristic era. Every detail, the color, the lines, the curb, the ground, is part of the aesthetic. A graphic statement.

Ugo's work has garnered recognition from Artists, Art Collectors, Designers and California lovers around the globe. His -work in progress- is influenced by luminaries like Ed Ruscha, Robert Bechtle, Dennis Hopper, Barbara Stauffhauser, William Eggleston, Stephen Shore to name a few. Ugo's photography is still emergent and he feels very humbled by the support.
To experience Castellucci's captivating photography, people visited his first show in the heart of San Francisco where DREAMALITY + AUTOPIA have been showcased for a month.
